MIRAI CODE · Speak Your Wish Aloud
To You Who Gives Up on What You Want Before You Even Wish It
To speak a wish aloud was never selfish — it's the first switch that sets your future moving.
Mirai — a Future Decoder who reads the sounds of your name
Really, this is how I'd like it to be. But — "It's not possible for me." "Isn't that just selfish?" Do you give up, even before you let yourself wish?
In my readings, I meet so many people in whom holding back has soaked so deep into the body that even to say a wish aloud has come to feel frightening.
— And once, so was I.
For his sake, I let go, once, of my dream to study abroad, and chose our engagement instead.
But then — the chance to study abroad came through, for both of us. "This time, surely." And yet — his parents were fiercely against it. I couldn't bear to watch him, caught and suffering in the middle. And so, again, I drew my own wish back in: "Studying abroad… I'll give it up."
"Why does so much of this keep going wrong?" I thought, and thought. — And then, quietly, it came to me. (Could it be… because I'm clinging to "marriage"? If we are truly meant to be, then even if I choose the thing I long to do — surely, someday, we'll come together anyway.)
To speak a wish aloud. That, and only that — back then, frightened me so.
To put a wish into words is not selfish
In this series, I've said it: words are a vibration, a frequency.
"This is what I want." The instant you say it aloud, the frequency of those words begins, quietly, to move.
Keep a lid on your wish, on the other hand, and the heart takes on the frequency of giving up. So to wish is not selfish, not in the least. It is the very first switch by which your future begins to move.
Start by speaking small wishes aloud
It needn't be some enormous wish, all at once.
"Today, I'd love a cup of warm tea." "I'd like a little time to myself." Begin, gently, by saying small wishes like these out loud.
To grant your own small longings, yourself — that, gathered up over time, slowly grows the sense that "I am allowed to want."
The sounds of your name reveal what you truly want
The sounds of your name hold what you long for, deep down — the true feeling that has quietly buried itself beneath all your holding-back.
"So this — this was what I really wanted." When someone sees it, they can turn, at last, straight toward their own wish.
What I am really doing, in every reading
So to the ones who hold themselves back, the first thing I say is this:
"You are allowed to have that wish."
To let yourself want. When you can, your life comes back, once more, into your own hands.
In the end — and to you, who has read this far
Your wishes hold far more power to come true than you imagine.
First, softly, say it aloud: "This is what I want." From that one sentence, the future begins to move.
— And thank you, truly, for reading this long series all the way to here. Everything I've shared has, at its root, been one single thing: the state of your heart creates your future — and that future is always, always yours to choose, with your own two hands.
Whenever you lose your way — come back, anytime, to the sound of your name.
🌙 This closes the series "The State of Your Heart Creates Your Future." Thank you for walking all of it with me. You are always welcome to begin again from the very first essay.
🌙 And the writing goes on — a new letter begins here: To You Who Is Bound by "I Have To"
