MIRAI CODE · Like Frequencies Attract

Why You Keep Meeting the Same People, No Matter Where You Go

The people around you are a mirror of your frequency — and you never have to force a single goodbye.

Mirai — a Future Decoder who reads the sounds of your name

"Before I know it, I'm always being pushed around by the same kind of person."
"I change everything around me — and somehow end up in the same kind of relationship again."
"I feel like there's nowhere, anywhere, that's truly mine."

Have you ever felt this way?

In my readings, I meet so many people who — however they change their workplace, their city, their whole circle — keep repeating the very same pattern of relationships.

— And I know it, because I lived it.

Once, I worked in the public eye. I opened classrooms; I built communities. I appeared on television; I hosted a radio programme.

In those days, there were always people around me. But most of them came with a certain look in their eye — "If I stay close to her, she'll promote me." "There's something in it for me, being near her." People who rose by using others as a stepping stone. There were so very many of them.

Then I divorced. I let the work go. Head-hunted into a company, I became an ordinary employee — nothing more.

And then — the people who had swarmed so thickly around me drew back, all at once, the way a tide goes out. At networking events, no one reached for my card anymore. (…Ah. So that's what it was.) The calculation in people, the quiet self-interest — I felt I'd been shown it until I was sick of the sight.

And yet — among them were a few who stayed. Whatever became of my standing, it made no difference to them at all. If anything, they turned to me and asked, "Are you all right?" They simply stayed close. Pure-hearted ones, with clean and beautiful souls. When all the rest had gone, they were who remained.

— Now, I understand it. The ones who once swarmed to me had gathered around my title. "I want to be connected to someone impressive." And back then, some part of me was resonating with that very same frequency, too.

When I set the title down and returned to my bare self, I simply — naturally — fell out of tune with those people. The ones who stayed had been resonating not with my standing, but with me. That, and nothing more, was all it ever was.

Like frequencies draw together

Throughout this series, I've said it more than once: words, thoughts, feelings — all of them are an invisible vibration, a frequency.

The same, it turns out, is true of the ties between people — what we call goen, the threads of connection. People of a like frequency are naturally drawn to one another.

Which means the people around you right now are, in a sense, a mirror — reflecting the frequency you are living at today. If the same thing keeps happening even after you change your surroundings, it's because the place was never the point. Your frequency is still the same.

So you don't have to force anyone out of your life

When I say this, some people panic: "Then I have to cut these people off!" But no — that isn't it at all.

You don't have to work at severing anyone. Truly.

When your own frequency quietly shifts, the relationships that no longer fit fall away of their own accord — and in their place, gentler people slip softly in. You don't force the change from the outside. You simply come into tune, and the world around you begins to rearrange itself.

Learn your own "at ease" from the sounds

So how do you tune your frequency? One of the surest clues is the sounds of your name.

The state in which your own sounds ring most easily — what places, what company let you be most yourself. Once you know it, you begin to notice the relationships where you've quietly been straining to fit.

What I am really doing, in every reading

So when someone comes to me worn out by relationships, the first thing I offer them is this: who you truly are, at frequency.

And together, we look for the places you've been forcing yourself to match. Because when you return to your own true sound, the people who feel like home gather to you all on their own.

In the end

We tend to think of belonging as something you must go out and search for. But the truth is —

when you return to your own frequency, your place in the world comes, and finds you.

You don't have to change the people around you. Only this: be at ease within yourself, first. That is the surest way there is to set your goen — your connections — gently right.
